We-- you and I-- are working to develop young minds that will access new ideas and will succeed in post-secondary classes. Becoming a "learner" is extremely important for young minds in today's society. Grades are secondary to the development of a mind set that yearns for knowledge and is embedded with curiosity for and about the world students will inherit from us.
It is the responsibility of each student to keep up with his or her assigned class work. It is also the responsibility of the the student to understand how to download missed work from Power School and or Mr. Strasmann's Website. Computers are available in the library for those without access at home.
Students are required to read 8 books or 1000 pages each quarter. Please help your student by insuring they spend 20 minutes of reading each night. Read together and out loud if you have the time!
Snow Canyon is a middle school that educates 8th and 9th grade students. Mr. Strasmann teaches 8th Grade Language Arts, and he is the yearbook advisor.
